Overview
- No cookies, no tracking. We set no cookies and use no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
- No third-party requests. Your browser loads everything on this website from our own server. The fonts are self-hosted too, so reading our pages sends nothing to other companies.
- One browser setting. If you switch between the light and the dark theme, your browser remembers your choice on your device.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical access data when it delivers the site, to keep it secure and running.
- Getting in touch. If you write to us, we use what you send to reply.
- No automated decisions. We make no automated decisions about visitors.
The sections below give the details that Arts. 13 and 14 GDPR require.
Who is responsible
This website is run by NeuroLink AI. You can reach us at [email protected].
Server logs
Whenever a page or file is requested, the server that delivers this website records technical access data automatically:
- your IP address,
- the date and time of the request,
- the requested address and the status of the response,
- the page you came from, if your browser sends it,
- your browser type and operating system, and
- the amount of data transferred.
The data is used to deliver the site, to keep it stable and secure, and to detect and defend against abuse and attacks. We do not use it to identify you and we do not combine it with other data. The connection is encrypted with HTTPS.
Our hosting provider processes this data on our behalf, bound by our instructions (Art. 28 GDPR). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this website. Without these data the site cannot be delivered. Log data is kept only for a short period and is then deleted or anonymised.
Theme setting in local storage
If you use the theme button in the page header to switch between the light and the dark theme, your browser stores one entry named theme, with the value light or dark, in its local storage. On your next visit the page reads it back, so your chosen theme shows from the first moment. The entry contains no personal data and is not sent to us or to anyone else. If you never press the button, nothing is stored.
Storing and reading this entry is strictly necessary for a feature you have asked for, so it does not require consent (Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive). You can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
Contacting us
Email. If you write to [email protected], we process your email address, your name if you give it, the content of your message and the technical data that come with every email. We use them to answer your enquiry. Email is not end-to-end encrypted by default, so please do not send sensitive information that way.
Legal basis and retention. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns steps before a contract, for example a partnership. In all other cases it is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in answering the enquiries we receive. Providing your details is voluntary, but without a way to reach you we cannot reply. We delete your message once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. If the enquiry leads to a business relationship, we keep the business correspondence for as long as commercial and tax law require.
Recipients
We pass personal data on only to providers that work for us under our instructions, such as our hosting and email providers, and to authorities and courts where the law obliges us to. We do not sell personal data.
Automated decisions
This website makes no automated decisions, and no profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15),
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16),
- have your data erased (Art. 17),
- have the processing restricted (Art. 18), and
- receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (Art. 20).
To use these rights, write to [email protected]. We answer within one month (Art. 12(3) GDPR). If we have doubts about who you are, we may ask you to confirm your identity.
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing of your personal data that is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. This covers the server logs and the answering of enquiries that are not tied to a contract. If you object, we stop the processing unless we can show compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not use personal data for direct marketing.
Complaint to a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state where you live or work or where the alleged infringement took place.
